M&R Sewing and Vacuum has joined in the One Million Pillowcase Challenge and we need your help. Our store,along with stores across the country, have joined with American Patchwork & Quilting to challenge you to Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community. A pillowcase can provide comfort and hope.A pillowcase can brighten a hospital room. A pillowcase can bring a smile to the face of those who receive them.So join in the challenge and make a difference.
M&R Sewing and Vacuum will also be hosting several Make A Pillowcase Days throughout the year,so watch our calendar or sign up for our newsletter to find out when.If you join us for a Make A Pillowcase Day, we ask that you bring your machine,and if possible fabric for a pillowcase. Pillowcase kits will also be available.
Once you have completed a pillowcase,bring it to our store. It will be added to our store total and reported to the national web site. It will then be donated to a local charity.Currently the pillowcases from our store will be going to St. Mary's Hospital.

We ask that you use 100% cotton fabric and remember to make your pillowcase, fun, colorful and cheery. Also for the protection of children with suppressed immunity,we ask that you pre-wash your fabric or wash and iron your completed pillowcase or leave aa note with the pillowcase that it has not been washed.
